We are continuing to look at descriptive writing. This week you are writing a descriptive
piece of writing to promote your imaginary planet. You aim is to convince people to move to
your planet. You want your writing to allow the reader to be able to imagine what it is like on your planet.

First, we will look at an excerpt of a video describing the
moon from the Avatar movie. Click here to get to video= Pandora.

Second, we will discuss together what you will need in your
work to make it successful and look at how to plan our work. Then you will plan your work and check
with a teacher before you start writing.

Third, do your piece
of writing.

Fourth, complete you piece of writing. Remember to proof-read (check spelling and punctuation)
and edit (does it make sense? do you need to change any sentences?)
yourself and with a buddy and fill in your self and peer-assessment. Check it with a teacher.

My Writting

Nibiru Is a tropical planet in the middle of an asteroid belt called Starnga. Starnga is
in the middle of a solar system called Klet. Nibiru is only one of the planets that orbits
around in Starnga,  but unlike our solar system Nibiru orbits a sun but it also has a mini sun
that orbits it. This mini sun is a royal blue ra (sun) that follows Nibiru around. Nibiru is habitable
for humans to live on.

To get to Nibiru  you have to travel through
a black hole called Chumbo. It is between Jupiter and Saturn.
Chumbo is very dark  misty, cold and deep. When you travel through
Chumbo you can hear calls from the god of the dark. His voice is dark
and cold because its as pango(black) as it sounds, like an echo through a tunnel.
To get to Nibiru you have to travel on a rocket ship called 222 Dark Flyer, because that is the
only ship that can travel you to Klet.

Where you live on Nibiru is actually inside the planet. On the outside of Nibiru there is a dark
crust o
f toka(rock) but on the inside, where you live, the air is as fresh as a fiddle. Nibiru is covered in
water and beautiful ngahere pārūrū (rainforest). It is home to many Nibiruan creatures.

The natural plant in Nibiru is called plus. Plus is fruit that tastes like lollies but produces
vitamins and oxygen.
The indigenous people of Nibiru are called Windies. The Windies are one of the guardians that
help this plant grow. The plus plant keeps Windies and humans alive by producing oxygen and
food.

Windies are yellow dwarfs that are cautious of humans or someone new that comes to their
tribe. Windies have lived on Nibiru for millions and millions of years. Windies  keep Nibiru
and the plus plant alive by
saying prayers and singing songs. If the Windies population died then there would be no Nibiru……..
But once when the Windies didn’t know about the humans or other living creatures there
was an attack.Once Roman people came through Chumbo to Kelt and landed on Nibiru.
Nibiru was in great danger because the
Windies did not know who they were or what they were doing there. The Windies stayed
hidden for several weeks. They became hungry and the planet slowly started to die because
they were not there to look after the Plus plant.
All the Roman people were pulling out all the plus plants. Windies were getting very annoyed
and they came to a conclusion to finish the Roman people. There was a war. The Windies
vanished Roman people back to
Earth and ever since no one has gone to Nibiru.

You should go to Nibiru because there is amazing culture and beautiful ngahere
pārūrū (rainforests) and in summer there are amazing spirit light shows from the Windies that
have past away. Nibiru holds lots of fun and adventures. But you must be warned if you go
to the sacred root of the island or if you abuse the Windies culture the Windies will become
your enemy ……..

  1. Hey Billie,

This is some amazing work! I thought that Nibiru is a very interesting place! You described Nibiru very well. I thought that the features Nibiru had were cleverly thought about. It is so cool that you actually live on the inside of NIbiru not it's surface!

    Keep up the brilliant work!
