If Ihad Wing

If I had Wings

If I had wings I would look at all the crazy hairdos that everyone has .

If I had wings I would touch the Rainbows as soft as a cloud.

If I had wings I would taste the rain of an angry cloud .

If I had wings I would listen to the noise that humans make.
If I had wings Glide over the 7 seas.

If I had wings I would dream of walking over pudding and diving in ice cream .

Cooking

On Fridays we have activities where we have to show we can work in a team. This week we did cooking and we made pizza. I was in a group with Summer, Cailan and Rhys. We only had the year six students because the sevens and eights were at Tech.

We made a dough for the base then had toppings. All of us had different toppings. I had pineapple, cheese and ham with some tomato sauce on the bottom. Here are some photos of when we were cooking .

Best Part Of Me

Learning Intentions
I am learning to use language features to make my writing interesting and engaging for the reader.
I am learning to think carefully about the words I use so that my writing is descriptive and engaging for the reader.
I am learning to add an appropriate visual to my work

I will be successful when I can show….
-I have used some language features to make my writing interesting and engaging (smile, metaphor, alliteration, onomatopoeia, rhyme)
-I have carefully chosen some interesting words to include in my writing
-I have some descriptive words in my writing (adjectives)
-I have added a photo to my writing

MY EYES

I like my eyes because they help me to pull my cheeks up when I smile. They are often full of joy. They help me to look and see. They cry and show emotion and smile with relief. They allow me to look ahead and see what's coming and look behind to see the past. My eyes are like centipedes as it's legs are my eyelashes. My eyes are happy but sometimes sad. They have a sharp shine and shimmer in the sun. My sky kikorangi eyes are full of surprise. When I’m mad my eyes flash with rage! When I’m feeling sassy I roll my eyes when I don’t agree to challenge one another.

Holiday Home Learning Writing

In the holidays something bad happened! Read my story to find out!

The Quad Bike Accident!

In the holidays something bad happened. Knowing the Williams Family this shouldn’t be a surprise to you! Mac, Molly, Saxon, Grandad, Dad, Craig and Harry Swinburn were down South in Bruce Bay for a couple of days.  They were staying at ‘Swinnys’ bach. Craig and Harry were on one four wheel motorbike and Dad and Saxon were behind them on their four wheel motorbike and behind them was Molly and Grandad. They had to go on the road rather than the beach to get to Jacobs river and while they were on the road disaster strikes!

The front wheels of the bike that Molly and Grandad were driving completed seized and flew Grandad and Molly over the handlebars and the bike flipped on top of Molly and over Grandads legs.

Luckily Saxon looked behind and told dad. Dad didn't believe him and thought that maybe that they had just gone off the road a little bit but when he looked he saw the bike flipped over.  Dad turned and got off his bike and lifted the bike off of Molly and Grandad.

Molly and Grandad were in a lot of shock.  Grandad walked but Molly had blood all over her face and couldn't move her left arm and her jaw was broken.

Dad phoned 111 and they called for the rescue helicopter. The fire brigade, ambulance and two nurses from fox glacier arrived.

Dad phoned my mum who was working in Westport and told her something bad had happened. Mum was very worried and headed straight to Greymouth. At the time there was no cell phone reception so it was very hard to ring back dad.  Finally, we got a hold of him and at the time they thought her arm was broken, jaw was broken and had tingling in her leg. Grandad looked fine but his leg was a little bit sore and he was pale, his blood pressure was very high. Both of their motorbike helmets were cracked.

5.30pm the helicopter flew into Greymouth with Molly and Grandad.  Luckily Dakotas dad (Tim) and Charlie's dad (Angus) were flying the helicopter and Molly and Grandad were in good hands.

Poppy and I went home with Gaylene who works with mum.  She fed us the best pumpkin soup in the world and baked us some yummy macaroni cheese.  While we were at Gaylene's we saw the helicopter fly past.

At the hospital they got checked over. Grandad has got lots of bruises and is stiff and Molly has lots of stitches and a broken jaw. She has cuts on her arms too. Her shoulder is sore too.  Mum and dad were very grateful because it could've been a lot worse. The ambulance and helicopter crew acted fast to the situation.
